Mark thrives on the opportunity to learn something new each and every day as the global market environment continues to evolve.

Mark, working under the independent business model at Centerpoint Advisors, is able to extend his knowledge and expertise using a wide variety of securities, asset classes, and investment strategies. He finds the application of this knowledge most rewarding as he helps clients achieve their goals through expert portfolio management.

Background

Mark graduated from Elon University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, majoring in Finance with a minor in Asian Studies. During his time at Elon, he spent time abroad in Beijing, where he was an intern at Ascension Capital, a transactions advisory firm specializing in assisting Western companies to establish or expand their presence in China. Shortly after graduation, he joined Centerpoint Advisors as a Research Associate and a key contributor to the investment committee. Mark holds FINRA Series 66 and Series 7 licenses and is a CFA® charter holder.

Working at Centerpoint

Mark’s day-to-day activities at Centerpoint are focused on the monitoring of all client portfolios, and the creation and execution of investment strategies. Passionate about detailed research, Mark brings great depth to the Investment Committee through the proposal and evaluation of investment vehicles and models. In addition to his work behind-the-scenes, he also takes on a client facing role providing deeper insight on how the current state of the market effects their customized investment solutions. Mark is available to speak with clients regarding market concerns, investment research, and strategy clarification.

Outside the Office

When Mark is not in the office or catching up on market commentary, he greatly enjoys playing ice hockey. He is active in a local men’s league and a long-time Boston Bruins fan, enjoying live games several times a season at the legendary Garden. He occasionally attempts to translate his hockey skills onto the golf course, the success of which is still pending. Outside of watching and playing hockey, Mark enjoys spending time with his wife and daughters, and volunteering at the local food bank.
